Martin Had a Dream is the result of a collaboration between Lauren Bernofsky and the first- and second-graders of the Creek/Love Class at Rogers Elementary School (Bloomington, IN). Lauren Bernofsky composed the music, and the students wrote the lyrics. The class teachers, Cynthia Creek and Mike Love, were awarded a grant for the project, which allowed us to take our song into a professional recording studio. The piece was premiered at the 2008 Strawberry Shortcake Festival in downtown Bloomington, IN.
